+1... You can now thank the "greens" and their political influence that both Diazinon and Dursban (not to mention good old Chlordane) are no longer available. All offered good control on ants. All were relatively safe when applied properly. But today, the climate has changed...we must protect the endangered ant.
I haven't worn my pesticide consultant's hat for more than a decade...I'm not up to date on products and their usage. However, I do suggest you ask around locally. The national chains have applicators with "not necessarily" the experience or skills of the locals who have been around a while.
