I like accuweather.com, but the new interactive radar map at weather.com is cool. You can zoom into very local areas and you get sat Google Earth type imagery.
Accuweather guys also provide "contract weather" for paying customers. I'm almost sure they generate their own data.
From their site:
" Why choose AccuWeather for your weather forecasts?
AccuWeather, established in 1962, is the World's Weather Authority™.
We provide local forecasts for everywhere in the United States and over two million locations worldwide.
We also provide our products and services to more than 175,000 paying customers in media, utilities, highway departments, school districts, agriculture, boaters, hotels, construction, golf tournaments, emergency management agencies, and many more categories.
AccuWeather employs 113 meteorologists, and our headquarters in State College, PA, is home to the greatest number of forecast meteorologists in one location anywhere in the world.
Our staff of over 200 graphic, technical, programming, and support personnel serve our customers 24x7 every day of the year.
AccuWeather is the world's leading internet weather provider."
FWIW.
Best,
Kurt
