Keep in mind the phone dials were 7" at the widest I think.
Are you planning no spoiler or S type spoiler?
No idea how they come off, except part of it is hard to remove from the glass, but otherwise people play with spoiler swaps from time to time, but I don't recall a backwards move. Porsche did have a spoiler delete option for a few years.
