A lot of places that had problem went back to their old machines and to some level of accountability.
I read one story where the electronic voting had so many problems the State of California told the company to take them back and give us news ones. The company took the voting computers and returned with some new ones, but when they opened the box and checked the sofware it was the same machines! They got sued and owe lot of money to the state now.
Ohio still is a hot bed for problems, we did not let those DieBold things in Michigan.
