Just for what it's worth, I drove my baby to work on Friday right down Huntington Drive through San Marino ($$$ area for those outside SoCal), which becomes Mission and then Soto all the way into L.A. The "boys with money" were out in force taking their cars to work on Friday - new 997 Carrera 4S, several Boxsters including a couple with aftermarket "touches" that lead me to believe they are enthusiasts, not just commuters. A NICE black M Coupe, a couple of SC's, others....not a SINGLE wave. Not a look, nod, nothing. C'mon you car enthusiasts. This used to be a sort of loose, tease-your-buddy-about his-car fraternity. We all liked different cars, different styles, but we all APPRECIATED the effort and expense it takes to keep nice cars nice and on the road ---- what the heck happened?
