Sobriety doesn't guarantee perfect decision making, it just gives you the best chance at getting it right.
You live in SO Cal, so you know that transition even at that speed is well within the handling capabilities of a well tuned turbo. I had no kids in the car and the only other person a risk was my dueling buddy in the Saleen.
Drug users/abusers all too often have kids sleeping in the net room or in the back seat.

The point is that I experience life to it's fullest and all drugs offer is a seat in a closet, sucking on a glass dick waiting for life to happen.
