Thanks very much for the replies. Last weekend I put in a new rear condensor, new dryer, and new front condensor fan. After the system was charged this AM, I could not hear the front blower, but after driving 15 miles home, I could hear the blower clearly when I opened the trunk. So no problem.
I also installed a new fresh air blower, and added a 10 amp fuse, because the old one was a glob of melted black plastic inside. A fire hazard?
