In 1977, The Fifth Season opened as a specialty mountaineering and backcountry ski shop in Mt. Shasta City. With Mt. Shasta in our back yard, it was a perfect place to combine our play with work. We've lived a fantasy helping mountaineers, and working in one of the best ski and climbing areas in the world.
