Here is my problem... I hate violent TV and movies but I have got sucked into the story line and I can't stop watching the Sopranos.

I was making small talk with one of my friends at work and asked if he had seen the show and he said "no, I don't watch anything that glorifies gangsters". Asked another old friend over dinner at Hooters and he said "I tried to watch it when it was on HBO and hated it".

This got me wondering, The Godfather, Goodfellows, Scarface, Casino... why are some of us fascinated by these gangster movies? Do I have a latent desire to be a violent law breaker and am I living it out vicariously by watching this stuff?
