I was told by my heating/cooling contractor that spiders only build webs in the presence of a draft. Get those drafts sealed up and that should reduce the number of webs. We sealed up our basement and we don't have any more spider webs down there at all. Centipedes eat spiders, so you could release some of those creepy crawlies to eat the spiders, but then you'd have to get rid of the centipedes!
