As the originator of the thread, thanks for all the tips. I have had my VSR for a while now and yep, it does whistle a bit more than my old helmets so I now wear earplugs if I am ride more than 30 mins. And the visors cost a little more, though I just picked a new one up dog cheap on eBay.
But a brilliant helmet. Best fit of anything I have worn in 30 years of riding, brilliant ventilation and it will not fog, not matter what. I will be in the USA next week so I may pick up a new visor but I highly recommend the Vemar, esp at the closeout prices that appear to be around.
