Anyone have the weight differance for a LS1/2/7 swap? The blocks are all aluminum, as with the heads.

Stock with exhaust weights:

964/993 3.6= 535 lbs

LS1 = 459

LS2 = 438

This isn't completely accurate for an entire swap since the whole oiling system (sump, lines, cooler, filter/plumbing ect) is removed in this system and with 11+ quarts of oil circulating around...its a lot of weight, almost enough to offset the entire weight of the front mounted aluminum rad, so what you get is about 100 lbs off the rear end depending on the exhuast system used with a ls2. Not to bad. Bone stock with free flow intake and exhaust the ls2 puts down 472 hp at the crank and is reliable and lighter than any turbo motor porsche's produced.
