My 2001 LS1 with ported/polished stock heads, cam, long headers put down 447 horsepower at the rear wheels.
A good friend built a LS2 with a stroker crank and dynoed 580hp at the crank, naturally aspirated. Great motors: lightweight, reliable, and cheap.
