Thank you. I saw the bolts but couldnt reach them and seemed like if I could reach them, I wouldnt have space to ratchet them loose. So, with pain and effort and time, i managed to get the hose within about 1/2 inch of the other hose coming from the right heat exchanger and simply closed the gap with aluminum foil insulation tape. It came out perfect. That foil tape is like a miracle for some things.
Ill have to work on the platform some other year since I dont even have my A/C system drained yet.
----with the compressor off and hose out, i managed to notice what looked like part of a carrera chain tensioner rubbing or wedged up against the platform and a very slight bit of corrosion forming where the small metal tube touched the platform. this seems concerning to me but im not even sure if this metal tube is part of the tensioner. i think it is?
