Dividend Reinvestment and Stock Purchase Plan
If you are a resident of California, Nevada or Arizona, an employee, or a customer, you can participate in a DRIP with SouthWest Gas (SWX). I have been toying with the idea of investing a bit in this and am wondering if anyone here on the left coast has already done so or has any thoughts on investing in a neatural gas distributor, given the current energy scenario.
The only drawback, and this may just be personal preference, unless the stock is jointly owned, it goes through probate since they do not have a "Transfer on Death" option.
Any thoughts?
