To all people who are interested in aviation, aviation history and a “just good time”…
The 2007 Chino Airshow is this weekend.. And I would like to tell all you Pelicanites
how good it usually is. I have to admit I’m biased and would enjoy watching any airplane
with a radial engine. Anyway- It’s a private venture so there is a fee at the gate…$20
But it goes for good things like avgas for the birds and the remainder helps fund the
air museum. I have spent years at this airport and museum and know most of the fellas
running the show. Good guys…
Anyway- The show usually has a the best assortment of WWII aircraft including the only
flying Japanese A6M Zero. Usually there are many P-51 D’s Mustangs, P-47 Thunderbolts.
TBM Avengers, F-4 wildcats, F-8F Bearcats and a list of many Including Spitfires.
You will see some really awesome fly bys .. high speed ..Nothing like the sound of 4-5
P-51’s running hard WOT buzzing the runway. B-17’s and B-25’s flybys.
Anyway, If your in So-Cal this weekend definitely consider it….
