Have to agree that the Chino museum and airshow is great.
I used to live over in OC and went to the museum many times. Took my Dad to the airshow one year during one of his visits across the pond.
They flew loads of great stuff like the Northrop N-9M Flying Wing, a whole flight of Mitchells, loads of warbirds and modern jets. They did a really cool flight with two Thunderbolts, one an A-10 and the other a P-47 flying together. Well worth the $20.

I love the sound of Merlins too, nothing else quite like it.
