I have come across many DVD's where Shrink will not work.

I use DVDFAB Decrypter Platinum now. Great software.
DVDFAB Platinum is the only thing I have found that will break the new Sony protections.

To convert to .avi I use MediaCoder and/or Videora.

Both have been fine
