Good info guys. Im torn between an old classic and the new model. If it were for me there would be no question I prefer the old restored classic. But my dad is not a DIY guy and would worry about safety (no airbags) and reliability. Most of the old ones I've seen don't have a/c. He'd tool around town and take down to the lake (Ozarks--6hr drive). He's got a Nissan Maxima for daily driving. I'm going to test drive a new GT tomorrow and would really like to drive a '66 just to see how streetable they really are with drum brakes and crappy seats/belts.
