Pain and Misery
I own a '96 that sat for about 1.5 years before I ran into the same exact misery. No clifford alarm, just the factory immobilizer. After changing the pulse sender 99660610500(supercedes 993 part, additional plug needed), DME relay, fuse box, immobilizer box, blah blah blah, and all related items............NOTHING.
Last week I brought the vehicle into Hennessy Porsche here in Atlanta to have the the electrical system reviewed with a "Pin Out'' box which evaluates each and every line with the DME harness for value and correctness during all parts of the starting and running process. The determination was made that the fuel pump in my '96 was drawing excessive voltage causing shutdown of the DME. I'm hoping and praying for good news on Monday.
For your misery I would check the pulse sender. It seems all other items have been addressed from a plug and pray:-) perspective. I'll get you and update when I get mine back. Best of luck with it......and remember you are not alone by a long shot., Cheers.
