Jim, thanks. Sounds typical with these infections in that age group. Particularly with all the kids that also have an asthmatic tendency provoked by the airway infection. My only advice, if I may, would be to stick with Singular for a while. It is a good, safe medication for counteracting the inflammatory reaction in asthmatic airways with kids. I use it very frequently as a base medicine with kids that suffer several, frequent airway infections during winter season. Most will do without any medication at all during the summer months. On the other hand, Singular will many times not be enough to completely get rid of the cough. Most will intermittently need to complement with inhalation steroids to heal the inflammation during and after an infection. Rant over.
