And one more pic. My wife at her first DE event!
She has always been one of those conservative drivers that has never taken a notion to do donuts in a parking lot, e-brake turns, etc. And she has never done any kind of competitive driving in her life.. no AX, no drag, nothing.
On Saturday she was sucking like US Politics. Everyone was passing her and she was really taking it hard to the ego. But that evening a few of our friends (who are also DE instructors) gave her a little pep talk and we all told her to just relax and have fun.
Usually she would rather stab me than listen to any advice I offer, but on Sunday morning it was like a completely different driver was in the car. She was out there making her shifts better, driving more smoothly through the turns, and passing other students as easily as they had passed her the day before.
She climbed out of the car and came running over to me, smiling and yelling, "I don't want kids... I WANT TO RACE!!!"
I guess DE was a good birthday present for her. She turns 29 tomorrow.
