Except that the turbo look has the wheels, tires, suspension, and brakes of the turbo. So it does have increased performance, just not 0-60 or top end.
I'm talking about a honda with 18" steel or cast wheels instead of the stock 14" wheels, a huge body kit with vents and intakes galore that kill the aero, a huge tail bolted to the trunk that does very little other than slow the car down, and another 200# of stereo equipment. Then maybe some lowering springs, but probably cut springs.
So then you end up with a car with stock brakes trying to stop a heavier car with huge wheels. A stock suspension except for the ludicrously low ride height that's taken the stock geometry and ruined it, and a car with enough aero drag to tax it's stock 106hp engine.
