If you put SSIs on you will get rid of the cat. From what I have read... generally, power and noise are related; the louder you are to more power you get
I think M&K are louder than some of the other brands, but I have no direct experience here, just relaying what I have read here. duel outs tend to be louder than singles.
Every sport muffler I have ever had created some kind of resonance mid RPM. Just seems to be part of the nature of the beast.
You could go for the classic triple out muffler. 2 center pipes that are blocked off for street. The traditional single exit on the driver's side is open. At the track it is reversed.
