I don't think his mirror is broken - just came apart. There's usually a plastic cover that goes over the base/round part and that looks like it's missing but the overall base looks to be intact to me. I just fixed mine about a month ago and that's exactly how mine looked before the fix. You can see the top of the bolt just poking thru the base. Also, there are nubs on the base that may look like it's broken but those are just bumps that keep the mirror from moving freely.
