I bought a Saiga 12 ga. shotgun along with my little (slightly gun crazy) brother before moving to Germany.
He is having his converted (and trying to con me into doing the same) into some of the most evil looking, absolutely non-sporting, down right scary magazine fed semi-auto shotguns ever produced.
There is absolutely no point in owning one of these as they are useless for anything outside of gun owner "entertainment" and plain ol' "cool factor." ... but then again I guess that
IS the point...
It looks like our friends at the BATF may decide to make these illegal at any time by classifying them as destructive devices. (Which I can actually understand... sort of) So, I just had to get one while the getting is good.
My brother has several short barrel rifles and is planning on having his Saiga shortened to 8" in lengh. It will be a hoot to shoot!
The anti-gun crowd is sure to love this:
