My experience with eharmony was that I could meet more women more rapidly locally, and I'd know for sure that I had at least something in common with them. While the matching algorithm wasn't bad (I've known a couple of friends who got married off eharmony), it didn't cut it for me because of some quirks that I have that aren't exactly obvious (I'm in the Navy -- if you can call having a job a quirk).
I'd say: skip the name game. Find someone more mature. At 36, the name game is pretty silly.
