I guess it just frustrates me that, at least from a media standpoint, everyone seems to spend more time bickering between left and right than actually getting anything done. (And I'm not by any means exempting my own country from this) Politics has become a game of 'let's keep our jobs by trashing the other side' rather than actually a means to make the country work.
Imagine what could be accomplished if everyone who currently expends effort on polarizing the nation instead put that effort towards making the nation better.
The point of democracy is to allow opposing viewpoints to come together to find the best solution for everyone. Polarization and the paralysis brought on by it is the utter failure of this process.
