Today the federal government is spending more than it is taking in. Has been for several years.
So the debt is rising.
Unlike an individual, where the debt goes away when that person dies, this debt never goes away until it is paid off.
At this point we are not paying our bills.
We are passing the debt on to our children and grand children.
If we don't get responsible about our debt, yes it is OUR debt, then we have left our children with this burden.
I personally find this behavior disgusting and irresponsible.
