Hasn't this already been proven false? Didn't someone on PPOT discontinue health coverage for their employees, pay them the difference in premiums, and found that exactly 0 of them went and got their own coverage?
We will ALWAYS have people who will not get their own health insurance. We have two choices:
1) Let them deal with the consequences of their own actions.
2) Force taxpayer-funded "universal" coverage upon them.
Being the personal responsibility advocate that I am, option #1 seems the most appealing to me.
