I looked over into the kitchen a few weeks ago and saw something wriggling on the floor. It was a little 1 foot grass snake. Cat probably brought it inside. I grabbed a towel (the teeth on those little buggers are sharp ridges) and asked my wife to open the door so I could toss it outside. She screamed/refused while standing on the kitchen counter.
In Pakistan, we had adders. I let the locals take care of those.
