Yep. But I solved that problem quick by having Verizon turn off text messaging on my phones.
As I see it, text messages are just "stupid." Why should I pay 5 or 10 cents for something that costs Verizon virtually nothing in band width?
Not to mention the "interface" -- I'd have to be crazy desperate to communicate with someone if I had to punch out a message on a phone keyboard -- especially when I can just call.
I guess texting would work well if I was in high school trying to communicate with my friends during class without getting caught, but when I was in high school cell phones were about the size of a cinder block and text messaging hadn't been invented yet!
