Moses...They have had an infection specialist, an last night she was strong enough to go in for a CT scan. I do not know the results, but they tell me if there is an abcess they can needle in to it and suck it out. What annoyed me was the time the CT was done (yesterday evening) and no one had looked at it at 2 this afternoon. She was showing some sensitivity to one of the BP medicines (a very small adjustment would have a relatively huge effect) so they were in the midst of changing over. I still think my biggest problem is impatience, since a trauma like this can and often does result in long recovery periods. Should she continue to show improvement, it would be a few months before I could bring her home, due to rehab which will be an absolute necessity.

You have the scenario right. I already had the release papers signed by the doctor and when I saw my wife I said that this woman was not coming home. Why? asked the nurse. I told her that her face was puffed out badly and her abdomen was swollen. Response? She was having trouble passing the air they injected. Bull$hit I replied and got a doctor to take a look and she went in for X rays and they found the perf. Her gastro man was blase and I had to insist he put her on antibiotics. I would be glad to send you his name in a PM if there is some way to find out his record on miscues.

Thank you for the info.
