I use my 1988 coupe as a weekend driver and occasionally when I take it out after it has been sitting for a week, the speedometer doesn't work for about a mile or so.

The speedo just sits at 0 MPH unitl I've driven for a mile or two and then it operates normally.

Any ideas on what I could check or what this might be.
