240 is a nice car. They have decent go, and have quite a large aftermarket...bigger than the 944 aftermarket, and the 240 aftermarket is geared towards street and track while the 944 aftermarket is mostly geared towards track. There is a lot that can be done to the car...top of my list would be an SR20DET swap though

It is *probably* a cheaper car to maintain as well...I have a friend who has a 240, and besides the fact that the p/o had a bolt sucked into the engine and didn't tell him (he ended up suing and winning for a rebuilt motor), he has had little to no trouble, and the parts are pretty cheap. They don't handle as good as a 944 and the brakes on them are like toys (944 brakes are definitely much much better), but still a nice car. I personally like 2nd gen rx-7 turbos the best of the late 80's/early 90's jap sportscars, but the 240's are nice too. I would rock one.
