you had a working semi clutch thingie? lucky guy. I wedged my vbelt on with a screwdriver, set the back axle on a block, started engine and rocked back and forth until it hit the ground. stopping was an entirely different problem since it didn't have a handy kill switch or brakes. I found out first trial run it would come to a stop as soon as it was upside down. and that was caused by reaching behind me to ground the plug with the kill lever. for some reason, grabbing a spark plug at full throttle makes you jerk the steering wheel to one side at the same time.
