I hear ya! I have been to New York and Detroit and both were awful. Detroit has trash laying all over the roadsides and New York smells like a dirty bathroom. I wouldn't trade my rural home for anything, but when I was younger, I had fun living in the city for the nightlife. That only lasts so long though.
