Two morning doves, made a nest sometime late last month and the female laid two eggs. Both hatched and today they made their first flights. I thought they were gone, but when I came home this afternoon, the two babies were on my stairs. Unfortunately, the male bird (dad) seems to have disappeared about two weeks ago. Mom has done a great job with her offspring. She chose a high traffic area to build a nest.
