a pentium only program would be very strange, and I doubt it. I dont know if it would be worth changing out motherboards, I just did mine, but all i re-used were my hard drive and cd drives, i spent around 500$ but i still have an AMD, I've had good experiences with AMD chips, so i stuck with them
