My dad just bought a 10/22 with a heavy barrel and laminated stock. It's pretty sweet, fun to shoot.

I have a Remington 541-T; I don't think they made it very long, but I bought it new and shoots amazingly well. Like, better than any production $500 .22 should shoot. It's a bolt gun, if you like those...you should check one out if you can find it.

Personally, I think my next .22 is going to one of those Anschutz target rigs....sexy.
