So is the Multiplia that horrible to drive? I thought it looked interesting, with the three-across seating and Alien-growth dashboard. You're right though, I peeked in one and it barely has a boot.

Why the backpacks - well, they're just what we have for luggage. The big Swiss Army brand backpacks with rollers/T-handle. I find them easier to handle than regular suitcases. And we're already in Europe (been in Paris for 10 days now) so can't change luggage.
