You can run autocad on a AMD. AutoCad is very memory intensive. It does tremendous Math Calculations. The k6 to p4 will not only require new mb, cpu and probably ram, but you will need a new case with a bigger powersupply. I would not go with sony. Good looking but cheap parts internally. My 2cents. Just curious what do you need AutoCad for?
