I find it ironic that some of the same people who espouse a philosophy of judging people each on their individual merit, are often the people who are quick to label all wavers of the flag as bigots. Isn't this is the very essence of prejudice?

I would have to be blind to not be aware that the Confederate battle flag and similar flags have been used by hate groups, and has come to be seen as a symbol of hate to some people. But the flag is also used as a symbol of a proud Southern heritage for many people.
