I think a microsquirt board is small enough to fit into the stock DME box, which would make for a super stealth install. The only thing you'd have to worry about the inspectors finding is the IAT sensor. On an n/a even that could be concealed in the old AFM box if you wanted to reuse the AFM connector and wire to serve a different purpose.
