Have wondered the same. I spend a fair amount of time in hotels, traveling around the world. Miss programs from home and between Slingbox, Tivo and Joost can help that.
Some hotels have asked if I was downloading something large or the like where I stay as they can see large data transfers from the terminal in my room. They can stop my access if I am downloading illegal things like bootleg movies but when I tell them that I am just watching TV over the internet they usually act a bit surprised then ask how in the world I am doing it!
Clearly this transfer live video feed around the world is going to require more high bandwidth feeds.
