I like cats and have owned a few so I have some sympathy for you BUT:

I have a problem with a neighbor with a cat. The cat comes over to our house and taunts our dogs which gets them barking at all times of day or night. I've thrown bucket of water at them, but apparently that makes them want to come over more. The neighbor problem is that occationally one of our dogs gets out and of course he makes a bee-line to the house with the cat. Then the old lady there starts yelling at me, as I'm chasing the dog, to get keep my dog on a leash so it doesn't kill her cat. The law in Houston is that both dogs and cats must be on a leash, so where does this lady come off telling me to leash my dog.

Anyone have tips for keeping cats away besides guns or poison? I don't mind inflicting a little pain, but nothing life threatning.
