Usually we get a taping of what you saw at 7AM, but sometimes with a "Western Update" that is inserted pretty smoothly, if there is something notable to report, like Paris Hilton getting re-arrested or some other "important" news piece.
BTW, the Tonight Show with Jay Leno is taped at something like 4PM here and edited and sent to the East Coast for airing on tape at 11:30PM and then re-aired here at 11:30PM.
Most game shows are taped a week or more before they air.
