oh, bad. bank foreclosures are typically sold as-is, where-is, with any and all faults.
The broker/agent representing the seller (bank) will do everything up to and including lie like a stinkin' dog to get the home sold.
However, I do believe this house should have been condemned by code enforcement until it had undergone remediation. That said, unless you can bark up enough trees to get action, you're on your own. I have absolutely no experience fixing meth homes, but I believe it can be fixed. The only question is how much time and how much money.
Hugh, do you think any ozone generator will work? I bought an ozone generator last week (still hasn't arrived). I plan to use it to remove lingering smoke odor in a rental property. The seller is giving me a 30 day money back guarantee and tells me it will get rid of the smell. I have to run the machine for a day or two with no human or animal presence.
I wish your sister and family the best of luck.
