I like Google's Picasa for pictures.
http://picasa.google.com/ You can store movies too. You can keep albums private, share with specific people or share with the public.
They have a free program for PCs. I even bought extra storage ( they give you a decent amount of space free, I forgot the amount) and backed up my entire digital photo album (5000+ pics) at full resolution.
I also use GMail and Google Documents and Calendar. Works well, IMO.
