Had been driving the 944 for the past year but picked up a 2002 996 Coupe about a month ago. Although I didn't buy it for fuel economy I do find I average 24 or 25 mpg but have got about 32 mpg on a run up to Charlotte. If I did ever get onto the gas, which I don't on public roads
, I expect it would drink quite heavily 'cos it takes off like a greyhound after a hyperactive hare. It's nice to have cold A/C, especially in summer down here. Also it's so spacious that I managed to get a whole potted plant in the trunk AND a folded up deck chair in the back, although that was pushing it to be honest.
